Enter via a dirt road and turn into the gravel drive, wander through the garden to the front door. On entry to the right is a large dining area with table that seats 10 (ceiling fan), kitchenette, ideal for making your morning tea and coffee. Four bedrooms with Queen size beds are located in this area each with en-suites (shower, vanity & toilet) and small balconies where you can relax with a wine or just to enjoy the garden.
The atrium is behind the entry where you can enjoy the warmth of the sun or if it gets too hot, there’s a split system to keep the room at the right temperature. Next to the atrium is a cosy lounge with 2 chaise lounges, OFP for those chilly nights or simply watch TV.
The kitchen is compact with electric oven and gas hotplates (not ideal for entertaining large groups), there is a dishwasher and multi-oven located in the laundry along with a separate sink, fridge, washing machine & dryer. Combined with the kitchen is a sitting room with TV and split system, bedroom 5 leads off this room and has 2 King Singles. The 6th bedroom is located upstairs in the attic and has a gas heater.
There is also an outdoor timber gazebo housing a family BBQ and fabulous pizza oven.
Langdons is located in the Hinterland where you can base yourself to visit Pt Leo beach, Arthurs Seat Eagle, Enchanted Adventure Garden, Green Olive at Red Hill, pick strawberries at Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm, Main Ridge Dairy or one of the many wineries or restaurants the Peninsula has to offer. Perfect Weekender
Ross - NovemberThis was the perfect accommodation for a family wedding. Loved the conservatory which was brilliant even if the weather was a little overcast. As mentioned before every one of the en-suite had at least one heat lamp out, one even had all out. The light above the kitchen was out, replaced bulb still would not work. If you need accommodation on the Peninsula this is the place for you.
Lovely place for a group of friends
Annabel - NovemberLangdons was a perfect place for our group of 8 adults. Even though the kitchen is small we easily prepared gourmet meals as it was well equipped (although 2 stovetop burners need repair and the overhead light needs replacing). Lovely to have a choice of rooms for relaxing in. The only thing that could have improved the house was spare lightbulbs as quite a few lamps needed replacement bulbs
Great location
Peter - NovemberHired the house for a family get together to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The house provided enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us all. One negative was the rather small kitchen which was located in the walkway between the 2 sleeping areas - probably too small for the number of people the house accommodates and right in a major through traffic area.
Very Good for Large Group. Looks like it was once a B&B with four good sized bedrooms all with modest en suites.
David - NovemberA further two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Good sized lounge areas and a very nice conservatory in the middle of house. The kitchen is however very small - so much so that crockery is in the dining area and dishwasher in the laundry. However, for our family group was perfect. Excellent supply of firewood for open fireplace and gas central heating. Good outside BBQ and if one is inclined a wood fired pizza oven. Only gripe was most of the light bulbs in the en-suites had blown globes
Wonderful holiday house
Lauren - NovemberPerfect location. Walking distance to a lot of local treasures. The house was beautifully kept with everything you would need for a weekend away.
Great experience
Alan - NovemberAll good, no complaints except the bed was uncomfortable.
