The Neighbourhood
You will be hard-pressed to find another accommodation so close to the beach! Only a minute's walk away, you can choose between sand, rock pools or a pier. Early morning walks are rewarded with the most amazing sunrises over Phillip Island. Make up a grazing platter, enjoy the beautiful sunset on the Flinders Ocean Beach overlooking Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary, and watch for whales breaching.
There will be little need for a car when discovering the Flinders township. The house is within walking distance of Flinders Village, a Golf course, a Yacht club, a pier and a beach. It is a great place to explore by bike, and the quiet streets are very safe for kids.
Flinders is one of the Mornington Peninsula's most charming villages, with a historic streetscape shaded by broad verandahs, excellent eateries, gourmet produce stores, boutique shops, galleries, antique outlets, a famous Flinders Golf Course perched on the cliff top overlooking the ocean and stunning coastal walks. The Village is like stepping back in time. There are no traffic lights, no big brand shops, just a well-stocked General Store, the quintessential country pub, boutique owner-operated shops and galleries.
Offering spectacular views across Western Port to Phillip Island, Flinders fronts onto the calm waters of Western Port in the west with a small yacht club and a 250 m long pier famous for fishing.
To the south are Flinders Ocean Beach and the protected Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary, where you can swim and snorkel with many species of fish and Weedy Sea Dragons. The reef is very protected, offers safe swimming for all ages, and is a fantastic spot to explore the volcanic rock pools at low tide.

Great Loaction
Perfect location and great for family with school age kids. Kids bedroom downstairs - worth noting for those that don’t want kids too far away if younger. Walk to everything.

Short stay in winter
We enjoyed our short winter stay at Flinders deckhouse. The house is well set up for a family and we especially appreciated the open fire and that our dogs Molly and Fergus could stay with us. The short walk to the dog beach was fantastic and made it easy to wander down for the sunrise. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden lovely. I imagine the deck would be brilliant in warmer weather. Many thanks.
