Somers Beach Vista
Family beach retreat in Somers
With epic views across Western Port Bay to Phillip Island and a 4 min stroll to Somers South Beach, this house ticks all the right boxes for your coastal break, especially if you want to steer clear of the crowds elsewhere on the Peninsula.
The Perfect Family Beach House:
This place is perfect for families (we know because we set it up for our 3 young kids and their cousins) It has three bedrooms with queen size beds and a compact 4th kids bedroom with a standard bunk and a custom triple-decker bunk - byo port-a-cot but there is a change-table & high chair available on request. It has a large central bathroom with bath and shower, a small en-suite off the main bedroom, but perhaps the best bathroom is outside where you can privately shower or bath under the sky, surrounded by lush gardens.
The tropical-inspired garden has an undercover bbq hut, a fantastic cubby house with a slide, sandpit, and a swing set. The rear north-facing veranda has a lounge area and a table (seats 6-8) for meals. And tons of fairy-lights for night-time! There is also a great little fire pit (if there are no fire restrictions).
The driveway can easily fit 4 cars and has electronic gates, and the front and side have child-proof gates and fencing.
Back inside there is a downstairs lounge with aircon, fan and 55inch smart TV. As you make your way upstairs you are met with 180-degree views across the bay. This space still honours the 70s aesthetic of the house with vaulted timber-lined ceilings and slate kitchen bench. There is a solid oak dining table that comfortably sits 8, and at slight squeeze ten. There are 4 bar stools for bench top eating, and a mini kids table available on request. On the other opposite side is a large modular lounge and smart TV, Sonos sound bar & Apple TV (with Disney+ Netflix & Stan) for movie night. There are also Sonos speakers upstairs and down to play your tunes throughout the house.
The kitchen is well appointed with double oven, Miele electric cooktop & double dish drawer. The pantry is filled with tea, coffee, spices and cooking essentials. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and enough pods to get you started.
Worth noting that the kitchen is still very much rocking the 70s vibe, and as such the cupboard doors are a touch wonky and offer a bit of ‘rustic appeal’.
We’ve got a cupboard with some kids toys and books. There are boardgames and there are also buckets and spades for the beach.
All bedlinen and bath towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Full laundry with washer and dryer (and washing powder)
We use the house ourselves a lot, so you’ll notice it’s only available for limited holiday periods during the year.
You'll easily fit 4 cars in the driveway. Parking on street is available as well. Beach and cafe are walking distance.
All linen and towels included, please bring your own beach towels.

Great position - view from the living room and easy walk to a good swimming beach. We enjoyed our stay.
Lovely beach house, gorgeous views
Awesome location near dogs off lead beach…really lovely that we could bring our (very well house trained Labradoodle)…felt like we were staying at a friends place…(in a good way)…very welcoming …kids toys & set up in back yard so lovely for young kids …would definitely come back
Really well set up amd very comfortable. It was better than we realised from the photos. RT Edgar were friendly and well organised with sorting out any questions etc
We’d absolutely love to visit again
Most beautiful view of the ocean from upstairs living, dining and entertaining area. House had absolutely everything you could think off from kids toys, playground and a sandpit, and every cooking implement we needed. Nice and spacious living areas and comfy beds.
Awesome location - being a 2 minute walk from the beach.
Host was lovely, very responsive, good kitchen supplies, provided good local tips and even went the extra mile to return something to us after we left it.
We happened to be there on 35+ degree day but the air-conditioners made it pretty comfortable.
Enjoyed a lovely week at Somers, fantastic views across the Bay and a great backyard with lots of space.
The house was clean with 4 rooms, kitchen was fully equipped with utensils,
Our kids were competing for the top bunk bed.
The garden is charming with so much for the kids to do. The cubby house and out door activities plus indoor games will keep the kids entertained.
The beach is a 5mins walk , Balnarring supermarket, PUB and cafes are not too far away.
The Enchanted adventures and Arthur’s Seat Eagle is only a 20mins drive
Easy walk to the beach and beautiful views and sunsets - every detail thought of
A fabulous house set in a beautiful garden only 5 minutes walk from the beach. The outdoor shower and bath was a particular highlight. Having a number of living and sleeping spaces made the house perfect for a larger group.
We had a fabulous family holiday at Somers Beach Vista
The views were outstanding, the beach is a short walk away, and the house had everything we could've wanted, including a big backyard with BBQ and lovely and relaxing outdoor shower for after the beach. The house is well set up for a large family or group of families. The kids had a blast playing in the cubby and play equipment outside too. We'd love to come back again!
Our family of five had six nights in Somers Beach Vista. Was an excellent location, a short walk from the beach, and 15 minute to The Somers General (which did amazing breakfasts, coffee and ice cream!) Only a short drive to Balnarring for supermarket, bakery and restaurants, and if you can peel yourself away from Somers, other attractions are easily within reach. The house itself is huge, heaps of space to spread out indoors, and a wonderful backyard, especially for the kids... and that view from upstairs. Wow. Was also super clean, with really comfy beds, and really well stocked. Great communication before we got there, including great local travel tips, and lovely welcome goodies when we arrived! A five star holiday.
Perfect for a coastal holiday close to Melbourne
The house was immaculate and incredibly well appointed. We easily fit two families with kids. The zoning inside was great with a living room upstairs and downstairs while the back yard was huge and perfect for the kids. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and bright with the outdoor bath a highlight for the kids. The best part was probably the incredible view over the water. I would definitely recommend this house and will certainly be booking it again in the future.
